【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverspolymerprecoated,closedribsteelpipe,intendedforuseforstormwaterdrainage,under-drains,theconstructionofculverts,andsimilaruses.Pipecoveredbythisspecificationisnotnormallyusedfortheconveyanceofsanitaryorindustrialwastes.Thesteelsheetusedinfabricationofthepipehasapolymerprotectivecoatingoverametalliccoatingofzinc.1.2Thepolymerprecoatingprovidesextraprotectionofthebasemetalagainstcorrosionorabrasion,orboth,inadditiontothatprovidedbythemetalliccoating.Severeenvironmentsarelikelytocausecorrosionproblemstoaccessoryitemssuchascouplingbandhardwarethatdoesnothaveapolymercoatingunlesssupplementalprotectionisprovided.AdditionalprotectionforpolymerprecoatedsteelpipeisavailablebyuseofcoatingsappliedafterfabricationofthepipeasdescribedinSpecificationA849.1.3Thisspecificationdoesnotincluderequirementsforbedding,backfill,ortherelationshipbetweenearthcoverloadandsheetthicknessofthepipe.Experiencewithdrainageproductshasshownthatsuccessfulperformancedependsupontheproperselectionofribdepth,sheetthickness,typeofbeddingandbackfill,controlledmanufactureintheplant,andcareininstallation.TheinstallationprocedureisdescribedinPracticeA798/A798M.1.4Thisspecificationisapplicabletoordersineitherinch-poundunitsasA1019,orinSIunitsasA1019M.Inch-poundunitsandSIunitsarenotnecessarilyequivalent.SIunitsareshowninbracketsinthetextforclarity,buttheyaretheapplicablevalueswhenthematerialisorderedtoA1019M.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
