【摘要】:Theuseofgeomembranesasbarriermaterialstorestrictliquidmigrationfromonelocationtoanotherinsoilandrockhascreatedaneedforastandardtestmethodtoevaluatethequalityofgeomembraneseamsproducedbythermo-fusionmethods.Inthecaseofgeomembranes,ithasbecomeevidentthatgeomembraneseamscanexhibitseparationinthefieldundercertainconditions.Althoughthisisanindextypetestmethodusedforqualityassuranceandqualitycontrolpurposes,itisalsointendedtoprovidethequalityassuranceengineerwithsufficientseampeelandsheardatatoevaluateseamquality.Recordingandreportingdata,suchasseparationthatoccursduringthepeeltestandelongationduringthesheartest,willallowthequalityassuranceengineertotakemeasuresnecessarytoensuretherepairofinferiorseamsduringfacilityconstruction,andtherefore,minimizethepotentialforseamseparationinservice.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesdestructivequalitycontrolandqualityassurancetestsusedtodeterminetheintegrityofgeomembraneseamsproducedbythermo-fusionmethods.Thistestmethodpresentstheproceduresusedfordeterminingthequalityofnonbituminousbondedseamssubjectedtobothpeelandsheartests.Thesetestproceduresareintendedfornonreinforcedgeomembranesonly.1.2Thetypesofthermalfieldseamingtechniquesusedtoconstructgeomembraneseamsincludethefollowing.1.2.1HotAir8212;Thistechniqueintroduceshigh-temperatureairorgasbetweentwogeomembranesurfacestofacilitatemelting.Pressureisappliedtothetoporbottomgeomembrane,forcingtogetherthetwosurfacestoformacontinuousbond.1.2.2HotWedge(orKnife)8212;Thistechniquemeltsthetwogeomembranesurfacestobeseamedbyrunningahotmetalwedgebetweenthem.Pressureisappliedtothetoporbottomgeomembrane,orboth,toformacontinuousbond.Someseamsofthiskindaremadewithdualbondtracksseparatedbyanonbondedgap.Theseseamsaresometimesreferredtoasdualhotwedgeseamsordouble-trackseams.1.2.3Extrusion8212;Thistechniqueencompassesextrudingmoltenresinbetweentwogeomembranesorattheedgeoftwooverlappedgeomembranestoeffectacontinuousbond.1.3Thetypesofmaterialscoveredbythistestmethodincludethefollowing.1.3.1VeryLowDensityPolyethylene(VLDPE).1.3.2LinearLowDensityPolyethylene(LLDPE).1.3.3VeryFlexiblePolyethylene(VFPE).1.3.4LinearMediumDensityPolyethylene(LMDPE).1.3.5HighDensityPolyethylene(HDPE).1.3.6PolyvinylChloride(PVC).1.3.7FlexiblePolypropylene(fPP).Note18212;Thepolyethyleneidentifierspresentedin1.3.1-1.3.5describethetypesofmaterialstypicallytestedusingthistestmethod.Theseareindustryacceptedtradedescriptionsandarenottechnicalmaterialclassificationsbaseduponmaterialdensity.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibility......
